About bSA
buildingSMART (bSA) develops standards, tools and training to drive the adoption of openBIM so the sector can realise cheaper, greener, and more efficient buildings and infrastructure. bSA works hard to ensure that BIM is not proposed or implemented in a haphazard way across the sector. We help new BIM users to gain familiarity and encourage experienced users to continue to expand their BIM expertise and widening its application in the sector.

BuildingSMART Australasia is part of the international BuildingSMART programme that has representation across the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East and Far East.
Members are plugged into a network of leading experts from around the world who define, develop, maintain and advocate for open standards such as IFCs (Industry Foundation Classes) and associated protocols to enable truly interoperable data exchange. These standards are moving towards full ISO recognition.
